Carlos Ricoy is a Galician artist whose work explores playful, subversive, and critical ways of engaging with mechanisms of social control in contemporary post-capitalist society. He holds a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo and is currently completing an MA in Raumstrategien at Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee.
His work has been shown in cities including Santiago de Compostela, Vigo, Porto, and Berlin. Through his practice, Ricoy addresses the social dynamics that shape urban landscapes and the policies that regulate it, challenging the power structures that define our present.
